Shaw Steps Down from QuenchTec CEO Role
Recently formed research software firm QuenchTec has announced that Chief Executive Allan Shaw is stepping down from his position at the end of December, for health reasons; and that Mark Van Walwyk will replace him as CEO. In addition, Nick Southwood joins as Sales Director for the UK.
Van Walwyk, who steps up from COO, spent sixteen years in senior positions at GfK, and was MD of MI Pro UK prior to its merger a year ago with MARSC. The combined firm has offices in London, Surrey and Sweden. Southwood spent more than sixteen years at software firm Askia, where he was a Director.
Says Shaw: 'From now on, Mark van Walwyk together with the experienced Executive Team will run the company and be responsible for QuenchTec day to day operations. Nick Southwood's sales leadership credentials will ensure long-term growth. I know that the new team and the rest of the executive management team will do an excellent job and the company is well placed to move into 2018'.
Van Walwyk comments: 'I would like to thank Allan for the great work he has done. The entire team wishes him the very best for a healthy future'.
