Omnicom Moves C Space into Interbrand Group
Omnicom has moved its online community specialist C Space into its Interbrand Group, and at the same time named C Space CEO Charles Trevail as the new Chief Exec of Interbrand. He succeeds Jez Frampton who is retiring at the end of the year.
C Space (formerly known as Communispace) offers customer programs tailored to specific business needs, including private online communities, in-person live events, visual storytelling, co-creation workshops and business consulting. The firm is headquartered in Boston, London and Shanghai, with additional offices in New York, San Francisco and Mexico City.
Trevail (pictured), who has been CEO of C Space for nearly four years, is the founder of innovation and co-creation consultancy Promise, which was merged with C Space in 2012. Before setting up Promise in 2003, he was the EMEA CEO for brand and design consultancy FutureBrand, and WPP-owned brand agency Enterprise IG (now known as The Brand Union).
Commenting on the news, Frampton said: 'I have greatly enjoyed the last twelve years as CEO, and Charles is the perfect person to take Interbrand to the next level. He is a passionate and proven leader who knows how to build relationships - with clients, with agency partners, and with talent - that build brands. I feel fortunate to be leaving Interbrand in such capable hands'.
