Shopper Data Firm emnos Hires Former dunnhumby Exec
In the US, retail analytics and shopper insight specialist emnos has hired former Symphony EYC and dunnhumby exec Brian Murphy, to lead its global initiatives and develop new business segments.
emnos - which is part of American Express' subsidiary Loyalty Partner Group - analyses customer and transaction data to help retailers understand their requirements, personalise marketing and optimise category management. Its HQ is in Munich, with other offices in London, Paris, Madrid, Warsaw and Chicago.
Murphy (pictured) joins from customer insights specialist Symphony EYC, where he latterly served as SVP Business Development-Personalization. Prior to this, he was VP Business Development at retail and customer data firm dunnhumby, after leading business development for ad agency SBC. He earlier served as VP, Business Development at loyalty program provider Brierley & Partners.
In his new role, Murphy will be responsible for helping roll out new solutions to retail segments in which emnos does not currently operate. He will report to recently appointed CEO Florian Baur, who comments: 'Brian Murphy brings with him very deep industry knowledge and expertise in the fields of sales process, execution and asset utilization. As we shift from a consulting to a solutions-focused organization, we will benefit from his experience and expertise in working through this transformational journey'.
