Radio Advertising Bureau Names New Insights Leader
The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB) has appointed Sharon Friedlander as Vice President of Insights in its New York office. She will take up her new role next month, replacing Annette Malave who is leaving after twelve years to pursue other interests.
RAB supports more than 6,000 member radio stations in the US and over 1,000 member networks, representative firms, broadcast vendors and international organizations, with education, research, sales and advocacy programs. Friedlander (pictured) will join with a background in marketplace analytics and media investments, much of it at WPP firms. Most recently, she was a Partner/Director of Marketplace Analytics at media planning agency MEC, having previously been Partner, Broadcast Account Manager Investment at GroupM. Earlier she was a Partner at Mediaedge, and AD at OMD.
In her new role, Friedlander will represent RAB throughout the research community, partner with the organization's senior team, and provide resources to members. CEO and President Erica Farber comments: 'We are extremely fortunate to have Sharon Friedlander join us at a time when insights and analytics have never been more important or more available for media, specifically, radio. We are thankful for Annette's service over the years and willingness to delve into any initiative at any time'.
