Law Business Research Changes Hands

Law Business Research (LBR), which provides the legal community with a portfolio of publications and research tools, has been acquired by private equity firm Levine Leichtman Capital Partners (LLCP) from previous owner Bowmark Capital. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Paul HowarthFrom its headquarters in London and office in Washington DC, LBR delivers news to more than 200,000 daily readers and organises 74 global events. It also runs benchmarking surveys and develops research tools through which to present and analyse information and data trends; and it partners with professionals and firms to provide in-depth perspectives across 95 practice areas.

Commenting on the deal, Lauren Leichtman, CEO of LLCP, said her firm is looking forward to working with the LBR team to continue providing insights and analysis within the 'growing and increasingly complex global legal environment'. LBR CEO Paul Howarth (pictured) added: 'LLCP has a long history of being a value-added partner to its portfolio companies throughout North America, the UK and Europe.
