Merkle Strengthens US Leadership

Data-driven performance marketing agency Merkle has appointed Matt Seeley as EVP Technology Services for the Americas.

Matt SeeleySeeley joins from Cheetah Digital, where he was COO, and worked previously at Experian, having joined the data giant when it acquired email marketing services firm CheetahMail in 2004 - he was part of the founding team of the latter. At Experian, he led the Marketing Services division in North America - running all e-mail and cross-channel platforms across the globe.

In his new role, Seeley takes responsibility for the strategic vision, service delivery, and overall performance of Merkle's technology consulting, data management capabilities and marketing platforms.

Part of the Dentsu Aegis Network for 18 months, Merkle has around 5,200 employees and is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, with 24 other offices in the US and 21 offices in Europe and APAC. The company has been building its senior teams both in the Americas - where it appointed ad industry veteran Joanne Zaiac as Chief Client Officer and Craig Dempster as President in the autumn - and in Europe where Michael Komasinski was promoted in November to President of EMEA, and Julia Crawley-Boevey was appointed as Head of Mergers and Acquisitions last month.

Dempster says of the latest arrival: 'Matt's extensive history in this space will be a tremendous asset, and I couldn't be more thrilled to welcome such a knowledgeable, driven leader to champion Merkle's technology services for the Americas'.
