LivingLens Launches 'CaptureMe' Mobile Research Tool
In the UK, video data mining specialist LivingLens has launched a solution called CaptureMe, which offers a mobile app to capture video and images from individuals taking part in MR projects, combined with a cloud-based app to manage tasks and participants.
The firm offers access to a platform through which consumers can capture, edit and share videos, and has bases in London, Liverpool, Toronto and New York. Content is analysed using software that intelligently searches every spoken word captured 'in any video, in any language'. Last year, LivingLens added two new video analytics modules to its platform, to enable users to search and navigate to exact moments of relevant multimedia content, and analyse content at an aggregated level to understand trends such as key themes and sentiment.
Building on the company's previously launched mobile solution, the new CaptureMe offering has been developed to enable client users to 'easily set up mobile research projects in a matter of minutes'. CEO Carl Wong (pictured) says the tool is ideal for qual projects using a broad range of methodologies, where video can add value and generate insight, such as auto-ethnography, video diaries, innovation feedback, and 'in the moment' customer journeys. Resulting content feeds directly into LivingLens' platform, with respondent and project information appended to provide additional context.
Wong adds: 'We want to support our clients and their consumers by making it is as easy as possible for people to capture and submit their content. The launch of CaptureMe is just one of the ways we are doing this. The tool is the first in a really exciting line-up of launches we have planned for 2018, and we're delighted with the response we've already received from early users'.
