Narrative Health Hires former HRW Board Director

In the UK, research firm Narrative Health has appointed former Healthcare Research Worldwide (HRW) exec Gillian Newbold as a Director.

Launched in 2014 by former Cello Heath exec Vivienne Farr, Narrative Health has offices in London and New York. The firm uses approaches such as communities, observation, in-home contextual interviews, neurometrics, and facial encoding to help clients understand the patients' world, their brand perception, and communication concepts. Newbold (pictured) most recently worked as an independent consultant for Prescient Healthcare Group, prior to which she spent eight years at HRW, the last five as a Board Director. In this role she held responsibility for the strategic direction and financial management of the company, as well as overseeing the completion of market research studies. Earlier, she led qual and quant healthcare studies for Cello Health Insight.

Newbold's expertise includes more complex fields such as oncology and rare diseases. Commenting on the appointment, Farr said: 'Gillian's ability to get to the heart of the business issue will allow us to continue delivering powerful insights that help our clients' brands reach their potential'.
