Simpson Carpenter Hires and Promotes in London

In London, insights consultancy Simpson Carpenter has appointed Michelle Li as Advanced Analytics Manager, while promoting three members of its existing team.

Founded by Tom Simpson and Derek Carpenter in 1998, the company works for automotive, retail and technology, media and telecoms clients. Li (pictured) joins from GfK where she served as Quantitative Manager, before which she held the same title at River Research. Earlier, she worked as an Analyst for Precipice Design. She is currently reading for a Masters in Data Science at Birkbeck, University of London, focusing on machine learning techniques. Commenting on the appointment, Director of Analytics, Ryan Howard said: 'The application of machine learning to data exploration is a huge growth area for us and Michelle's work allows us to continue to develop and rapidly deploy insights on behalf our clients'.

The firm has also promoted Analytics team member Mario Omescu to Senior Reporting Analyst; Hardik Naik from SRE to Research Manager in the Automotive team; and Qual team member Isabella Wong to the position of Research Manager.
