Eyeota Hires Former Oracle Exec Gil Barzilay
In the US, local audience data specialist Eyeota has appointed former Oracle exec Gil Barzilay as Vice President, Global Platforms.
Based in Singapore, Eyeota also has offices in Berlin, London, Melbourne, New York, Sydney and Tokyo. The firm offers access to '3.5 billion unique profiles' of consumers in Europe, APAC and the Americas, based on third party audience data, and has partnerships with YouGov, GfK, Kantar Media, Oracle and Ipsos, among others. It recently raised $12.5m in a Series B round of funding, part of which will be used to support product development and expand its team.
Barzilay (pictured) joins in New York from Oracle, where he most recently served as Director, Strategy & Partnerships, with a remit to maximize retail vertical revenue and product adoption through consumer platforms (Facebook, Google, Twitter), and open web partnerships. Earlier, he led agency and trading desk partnerships for the Oracle Data Cloud, Datalogix and BlueKai; and he held senior roles with digital ad management company Sizmek and semantic ad tech provider Peer39.
In his new role, Barzilay is responsible for the growth and development of platform partners, new integrations, channel expansion and managing the global account management team. COO Jill Orr comments: 'Eyeota is experiencing great business momentum and Gil is instrumental in translating that growth into benefit for our global customers. His experience within the programmatic ecosystem, commitment to long term and mutually beneficial strategic partnerships with our clients allows Eyeota to further differentiate in a crowded market'.
