Westat Buys Healthcare Data Firm JEN Associates

In the US, employee-owned research agency Westat has acquired healthcare data analytics firm JEN Associates. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

Founded in 1985, Cambridge, MA-based JEN Associates offers proprietary tools and approaches for data aggregation, measurement, import, secure hosting, and quality audits of health information data. Westat says the buy will bring together the skills and experience of health policy researchers, analysts, programmers, and system architects and engineers, to provide data-driven healthcare analyses for clients.

Scott Royal (pictured), Westat President, says his firm is expanding its services to respond to new opportunities for data-driven research in healthcare. He adds: 'We look forward to using these enhanced capabilities to further meet the needs and challenges of clients'.
