In London, Virgin Holidays has appointed Amber Kirby as Marketing and Customer Experience Director, leading its 35-strong marketing team and with a remit to improve overall customer journeys by launching an enhanced loyalty proposition. She takes up the position on 12th March.

Amber KirbyKirby (pictured) joins from Walgreens Boots Alliance, where she led innovation and brand development across Boots' full health and beauty portfolio. Before this she spent twelve years in a variety of roles at Procter & Gamble, including Business Category Leader for the Oral-B Total Brushing portfolio across Europe, India, the Middle East and Africa. In this position, she led innovation design and used consumer insight to drive trial programmes. Earlier, she led P&G's UK & Ireland Pringles business, and worked on the group's Non-Bio Business for the Ariel and Fairy brands.

She becomes one of five company directors forming the Virgin Holidays leadership team, and will replace Claire Cronin who moved to join Virgin Atlantic as Senior Vice President of Marketing in 2017.

Kirby will report to MD Joe Thompson, who comments: 'Virgin Holidays is a business going from strength to strength - we have had a prolonged run of record profit, we've grown our share of the market, our already-healthy customer scores are improving, and we have a highly engaged team that is passionate about creating amazing holiday experiences. Amber is the best possible candidate to lead the Virgin Holidays marketing team on the next phase of our journey'.
