MullenLowe Opens Data Science Unit in Tokyo

Global marcoms network MullenLowe has launched a Data Science and Analytics Centre of Excellence in Tokyo, appointing Jonathan Hart as Head of Data Science & Analytics and Chris Rogers as Senior Data Scientist.

Jonathan HartThe new unit will bring together the group's data and analytical resources across Asia Pacific, while working with its existing customer experience and Development Centres of Excellence in Sydney and Chengdu.

Hart (pictured) will lead data science and analytical offerings for clients across APAC. He joins from ad agency GSD&M, where he served as VP of Decision Sciences, overseeing agency-wide data, analysis and social media capabilities. Before this he spent a decade at Accenture Analytics, latterly coordinating the efforts of 50 people across three continents in producing statistical models.

In his new role, Hart is supported by cognitive science specialist Rogers, who previously worked at Boeing, delivering product data science solutions and operational analytics across various sectors. They will be joined by a further two staff in Tokyo.
