HG Data Names New CEO
In the US, B2B big data firm HG Data has appointed Elizabeth Cholawsky as Chief Executive Officer. She replaces founder Craig Harris, who is now responsible for further developing the firm's R&D activities, and will retain his role as Chairman of the Board.
HG is based in Santa Barbara, CA and uses semantic software to extract and categorize data on the use of B2B technology products, from billions of web documents and from off-line sources. Clients use the resulting data for market analysis, predictive modeling, marketing campaigns, and client retention initiatives, as well as to study competitive displacement.
Cholawsky (pictured) joins with more than twenty years' exec-level experience. She previously served as CEO and President of cloud-based software and services business Support.com, before which she was General Manager at software and cloud computing company Citrix. Earlier, she held senior marketing and product strategy roles at Move, Inc., ValueClick and Clarent Corporation.
Commenting on the appointment, Harris said: 'Elizabeth is the exact leader we sought for HG Data. Her spectacular experience and reputation in the B2B technology services space, and the delivery of those services through innovative SaaS platforms created and evolved under her leadership, will help us focus on the advancement of our specialized data and the distribution of it to our partners and end user customers where and how they need it the most'.
