Lightspeed Opens First Office in Korea
WPP-owned digital data collection specialist Lightspeed has opened its first office in Seoul, Korea, where it has employed Won Jung as Client Development Director, and Songmi Kim and Miseon Lee as Project Managers.
Jung joins with more than eighteen years' MR industry experience, including previous roles at TNS Korea, NPD, Research International and most recently, as CEO of local boutique research agency Idea Network. Kim has spent five years in the industry in fieldwork, data analysis and modelling roles; while Lee has ten years' experience gained at Nielsen Korea as a Senior Researcher.
This new Seoul-based team will be supported by the existing Korean team based in Sydney, and General Manager Siddhartha Dutta will take on an expanded role, heading up the new team alongside those in South East Asia and India. Dutta comments: 'This is an exciting time to bring a local presence to our Korean clients. Recruiting great local talent to complement our vastly experienced existing team will bring substantial benefit to our clients on the ground. The added skillsets of the new hires and their presence in Seoul will better support clients to develop their insights and data needs in these times of great opportunity'.
