Funding for AppOnboard Testing and Insight Platform
App testing and insight platform AppOnboard has raised $15m in a Series A round of funding, which it will use for the further development of its app demos, creative tools and for product insights. The firm has also named Bryan Buskas as Chief Operating Officer.
Through the proprietary AppOnboard platform, users can experience an app before choosing to download it from an app store. AppOnboard calls these 'Full-Fidelity' mobile demos which mirror the actual app or game experience. This platform enables app and game testing, driving insights to developers and product teams that help optimize app launches and onboarding. In addition, the firm's 'Chronological Heat Maps' visualize user engagement and allow developers to gain insights during the app or game testing process.
New funding was led by Korea Investment Partners (KIP) alongside Mirae Asset Management, Mantaray, MTG, and Runa Capital, who join existing investors London Venture Partners, Troy Capital Partners, and Ophir Capital Group. To date, the company has raised $20m since its founding. CEO and co-founder Jonathan Zweig (pictured) comments: 'We could not be happier with our incredibly successful investors who wholeheartedly support our entire vision. We can't wait to see how app developers use our demo technology in all areas of their development cycle: from prototyping, to green lighting and user acquisition, to product insights and beyond'.
New COO Buskas, who was previously Chief Customer Officer at mobile ad platform AdColony, joins with more than thirteen years' gaming experience. He will focus on expanding partnerships with app developers and scaling the company's operations.
