ThinkAnalytics Hires Sowers to Lead US Expansion
Personalised content and viewer insights provider ThinkAnalytics has appointed former Digitalsmith VP Rob Sowers, to lead its expansion in the North American pay-TV/OTT market.
ThinkAnalytics' flagship search and recommendation engine serves more than two billion recommendations every day, while its customer and video insight platform ThinkInsight gives pay-TV/OTT players an up-to-the-minute view of their business. Sowers (pictured) joins from pay-TV video service Conviva, where he served as Head of Sales, US Pay-TV. Before this, he spent nearly five years as VP of Sales at TV and movie content discovery and recommendation service Digitalsmith, which was acquired in 2014 by entertainment technology business TiVo. Earlier, he held senior sales roles at tech firms Netopia and Gomez.
In his new position as SVP of Sales, Sowers will lead the firm's expansion and business development drive in North America. Recently appointed CEO Gabriel Berger comments: 'Demand for ThinkAnalytics' solutions is at an all-time high as video service providers look to engage more fully with their audiences in today's increasingly fragmented market. Having Rob on board is a real coup for the team because his ability to build trusted relationships across the industry is second to none'.
