The Leading Edge Restructures Leadership Team
Insight and strategy consultancy The Leading Edge has reorganised its global leadership team, as part of a move away from discipline-focused teams. As a result, five London and Sydney-based directors are now known as Managing Partners.
The company says the change of titles reflects its fluid team structure, where core disciplines are combined to provide multiple methodologies and perspectives for clients. In the EMEA region, former Head of Retail Strategy Daniela Fernandez and Isobel Smyth, previously Head of Cultural and Consumer Insight, both become Managing Partners, while continuing to report to EMEA MD Chris Paxton (pictured).
In Sydney, Head of Strategy and Deployment Florencia Tarelli, Head of Qualitative Strategy Dominic McCarthy, and APAC MD Lee Naylor also become Managing Partners. These five will form a new global team alongside the EMEA MD and acting CEO Steve Watson, to develop and implement a new three-year growth strategy.
Commenting on the changes, Paxton explained: 'Our client requests are always the same: how can you help me address this problem or capitalise on this opportunity? They know that our consultants will use whatever methodology or technique will get help them get to the best answer. In the EMEA region, we've always blended our client teams and the change in titles simply reflects the strengths of our most experienced people to consultant on whatever challenge the client happens to have'.
