GeoSpock Launches 'Extreme' Location Data Platform
UK big data firm GeoSpock has launched a platform dubbed 'Location Intelligence as a Service' (LlaaS), to help companies derive insight from 'extreme' amounts of geospatial and temporal data.
GeoSpock says its platform can analyse and chart trillions of geospatial and temporal data points in a time measured in milliseconds. 'LlaaS', which is powered by big data from Geospock's indexing engine infin8, combines location intelligence functions such as movement tracking, dataset comparisons and geofencing. Uses include audience profiling around supermarket store locations to target relevant product offers.
CEO Richard Baker (pictured) comments: 'Geospock's interactive platform enables businesses to unlock the impact of extreme-scale data visualisation and analytics in a powerful, fast, and effective way. We are at the leading edge of the LI software market and clients are increasingly seeking a solution that drives dynamic interaction with vast sets of data, across location and in sub-second time, so we are delighted to offer our capabilities to benefit these forward-thinking businesses'.
The firm, which in February added an additional $6.5m to its Series A round of funding, bringing the total to $13.2m, is online at: www.geospock.com .
