FocalCast Launches Video MR Platform
In the US, tech company FocalCast has launched a digital video platform called Unity, which connects market researchers with survey participants using video directly on those respondents' devices.
Headquartered in St Louis, Missouri, FocalCast provides enterprise communication technology which can be used on any online device with no downloads or plugins required. The new Unity platform offers virtual research rooms complete with live video, audio, stimuli and collaborative annotation on any phone or computer. The firm says users can come up with a product idea in the morning, interview customers live across the world in the afternoon, and make a video of the reaction from the recorded interviews the next day.
Unity also features special permissions so that stakeholders in the company can watch live interviews and focus groups without transmitting their video or audio into the conference; and it can be used to observe in-person focus groups from anywhere in the world. In addition, Unity can be used with the firm's existing MR digital stimuli platform FocalCast Connect, which incorporates live annotation and interactive capabilities on digital images to assess user feedback on graphical stimuli and design.
CEO Devin Turner (pictured) says that for corporations who rely on feedback from different market segments around the globe to shape their products, the capability to instantly connect with multiple parties anywhere in the world on any device is 'game changing'.
