Realeyes Hires Affectiva's David to Drive US Growth

Emotion analytics specialist Realeyes has hired former Affectiva exec Paula David as Vice President of Sales, US, based in its Boston office.

Realeyes uses webcams, computer vision and machine learning software to analyse how people feel as they watch video content online, helping users to optimise content and target the right audiences. At the end of last month, the firm raised $16.2m in funding, for the continued development of its emotion tech platform, enhancement of its team, and expansion into new areas such as healthcare, robotics and education.

David (pictured) joins with more than two decades of experience working in commercial, marketing and operational leadership roles for various software start-ups. For the past more than seven years, she worked for emotion measurement technology company Affectiva; latterly as VP of Sales and Operations. Earlier, she worked for video conferencing specialist WebEx, where she managed the sales and business operations of WebOffice - a $20m business unit within Cisco Systems.

In her new role, David will be responsible for driving Realeyes' revenue growth across the US, with a specific focus on channel partners and media platforms. She will report directly to co-founder and CEO Mihkel Jäätma, who comments: 'We're delighted to have someone of Paula's experience and calibre join the Realeyes team.
