MRSS Opens Office in North East India
In India, Majestic Research Services and Solutions (MRSS) has opened a regional office in Shillong to support clients in the North East region.
Founded in 1992, the group specialises in multi-country studies, and offers access to focus group suites across major cities in India, Asia and the Middle East; along with eye tracking, usability testing and perception analyser services. In Shillong, the firm has put together a team to support the Longitudinal Ageing Study in India (LASI) for the states of Meghalaya and Sikkim. The study is conducted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and is comparable with the Health and Retirement Study (HRS) in the US and other health and retirement studies, including its sister surveys in Asia - such as the Chinese Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) and the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging (KLOSA) - thereby allowing for cross-country comparison.
Commenting on the expansion, Chairman Raj Sharma (pictured) said: 'The North East of India has been neglected by most market research firms whereas MRSS sees tremendous potential and opportunity in developing insights from this market. The states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura are now extensively covered by us and we are offering this under-researched region as a differentiating value proposition to our clients'.
