Anderson Brings in CEO for OdinText
Text analytics software platform OdinText has appointed Andy Greenawalt as Chief Executive Officer, as founder and current CEO Tom H.C. Anderson moves to the roles of Chief Research Officer and Chairman.
US-patented OdinText can read and analyze millions of customer comments and other items of text, in a variety of languages, in a matter of minutes. Used both by researchers and customer service departments, the solution also analyzes social media and web-based data.
Greenawalt (pictured) takes the reins after building two SaaS (software as a service) businesses. Most recently, he was CEO of regulatory technology firm Continuity, and he remains Chairman of its Board. Before this, he founded Perimeter eSecurity (now part of BAE Systems), serving as CEO and CTO and on its Board. He is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a degree in Philosophy and Cognitive Linguistics.
With the appointment, Anderson will now focus on the research needed to continue to develop new products, while Greenwalt is expecting to 'dramatically' grow the business. Anderson says: 'With more Fortune 500 companies choosing OdinText, Andy Greenawalt's credentials in innovation, his successful record of building SaaS businesses, and his singular focus on creating customer value make him a perfect fit to lead OdinText through its next phase of growth'.
