Funds for C-Suite Community Specialist
San Francisco, CA-based Pulse Q&A, which builds and operates communities of C-Suite executives to provide strategic advice, has raised $4m in a seed round.
Pulse aims to replace lengthy reports with 'real-time, bite-sized data' gathered from community members - the first such community already has ' thousands' of CIOs on board, the firm says. Co-founders Mayank Mehta and Anand Thaker were previously colleagues at Cooliris.
The funding round was led by True Ventures, and supported by Y-Combinator and angel investors including former Survey Monkey CPO Steve Norall.
Pulse CEO Mehta (pictured) comments: 'Pulse is about people-powered insights - for executives, by executives. Too many of our leaders today turn to small personal networks and out-of-touch reports to drive decision making. Why not go to peers who have just worked through the same issue in the last quarter?'
One user is Prakash Kota, CIO of Autodesk, who says: 'Being able to tap into a trusted peer network to share and grow our collective knowledge, discuss challenges, and discover what other inspiring CIOs are doing to drive innovation is powerful. I am excited by both the breadth and depth of knowledge available in this community'.
