The Trade Desk Unveils New Ad / Insights Tools
Ad tech company The Trade Desk Inc. has announced three 'Next Wave' products promising to help advertisers use data-driven insights to better plan, forecast and buy digital media.
The company uses a self-service, cloud-based platform to allow ad buyers to create, manage and optimize digital ad campaigns across ad formats and devices. The system is integrated with major data, inventory and publisher partners, and features enterprise APIs to allow custom development on top of the platform. Last autumn, the firm acquired London-based Adbrain, to enhance its cross-device targeting capabilities.
The three products making up the 'Next Wave' are Koa, which uses AI to assist advertisers with decisions, and includes a forecasting engine built on the company's data set compiled from nearly nine million queries every second; the Trade Desk Planner, a tool delivers audience analytics and informs ad strategies across channels and devices; and Megagon, a new user interface which 'proactively surfaces tailored insights' and offers Koa Recommendations to help advertisers make real-time optimization decisions.
CEO and founder Jeff Green comments: 'We are proud to launch the Next Wave to deliver on the promise of programmatic - a more data-driven approach to advertising that benefits advertisers, publishers and consumers'.
The company is headquartered in Ventura, CA, with offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
