Merkle Expands to MENA Region
Data-driven performance marketing agency Merkle has expanded to the Middle East and Africa (MENA) region, where it has opened an office led by Rudy Banholzer.
Owned by Dentsu Aegis, Merkle uses its skills in technology and analytics to understand consumers and drive people-based marketing strategies. The firm has more than 5,500 employees spread across 25 offices in the US and 26 in EMEA and APAC, with headquarters in Columbia, Maryland.
Banholzer (pictured) is the former MD of full-service social media agency Your Social, acquired by Merkle. He joined Your Social six years ago to set up the regional office in Dubai and grow the business in the UAE and across the Middle East. In his new role, Banholzer's team of 25 people is already supporting global and regional brands with social media, customer experience and performance marketing services. He will be supported by Vimal Badiani, who has recently been promoted to the role of Commercial Director, having previously worked at Merkle Periscopix in the UK.
Michael Komasinski, President of Merkle EMEA, said: 'This launch represents a significant development in the continuing and rapid expansion of our global footprint and range of capabilities. The appetite for people-based marketing, combined with Rudy's experience of growing businesses in MENA, creates an exciting opportunity for us'.
