Former Nielsen Exec Satyen Sharma Joins MRSS India
MRSS India, the research agency listed on the Mumbai Stock Exchange, has appointed MR veteran Satyen Sharma to strengthen its consulting team.
The agency offers full service project work with data collection through methods including eye tracking, mobile analytics, video analysis, facial recognition, digital tracking, online communities, neuroscience and emotional analysis. Last month, it reported an 181% increase in operating income, to Rs. 644.5m (US$ 9.6m) for the year ended March 31st 2018; and strong profitability with EBITDA at 31.35%. Earlier this month, it brought in its first CFO, with a remit including support for future company acquisitions.
Sharma (pictured) joins after a professional career spanning more than 24 years. Early on, he spent seven years in various roles at ORG-MARG, Ormax, Nielsen (where he worked with MRSS MD Sarang Panchal), and NFO, and he later served as General Manager of Indica Research. More recently, he was Director of Business Intelligence at company transformation consultancy Business Enhanced, Chief Digital Officer at customer experience platform Unpickle, General Manager of Tata Sons and 21st Century Fox joint venture Tata Sky, and General Manager of business tech firm Reliance Communications.
