Indian Agency QQRI Hires Patel for UK Expansion
Indian full service agency QQRI has expanded to London, where it has appointed former Kantar, MetrixLab and Nielsen exec Roy Patel as Adviser & Senior Consultant.
Mumbai-based QQRI offers a range of qual and quant solutions using approaches such as F2F, online, CATI and mobile techniques. Patel (pictured) currently serves as European Director of online ad tech firm Pathmatics. Since leaving his role as SVP - Sales & Business Development, EMEA at WPP-owned Lightspeed five years ago, he has been working as a freelance consultant and adviser for a number of research, analytics and data intelligence companies - including Mopinions, Market Cube, and Beatgrid Media. Earlier, he was Commercial Director for DVJ Insights, he set up the UK operations for Dutch online research agency MetrixLab, served as Head of Sales and Account Management at Nielsen/NetRatings, and was a founding member of the UK commercial operation of Internet measurement specialist Jupiter Media Metrix (now part of comScore).
QQRI MD Priyanka Mallick says expansion to London will support European clients who want to undertake research on the Indian and Asian market and better understand the Asian consumer across the agriculture, health and pharma, FMCG, automotive, telecom and retail sectors. She adds: 'The appointment of Roy is the first step for the business to start building itself outside of India'.
