InterContinental Hotels Moves Global Insights to US
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) is relocating its Global Insights team to its Americas headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. UK-based VP Global Markets and Consumer Insights Nick Rich has left the company.
Rich (pictured) joined twelve years ago as the first regional Insights lead, and in the first half of his tenure put in place knowledge platforms (brand equity performance, customer satisfaction, marketing creative and campaign testing protocols and tools) while building the team to act as the voice of the customer for the EMEA region. In 2012, he was promoted to lead and develop the Global Market & Consumer Insights function, which he established across five areas: vision and strategy; talent growth; platforms and processes; organisational impact and ways of working; and enterprise commercial, operational and customer performance. Prior to IHG, Rich was Director, TNS Technology; and Global Research Manager at Nokia. He began his career at BMRB.
An IHG spokesperson said of the relocation: 'We recently made some changes to our business which involved creating new jobs in some markets, re-locating current roles and modifying the scope of other positions. As part of this, our Global Insights team is now based out of our Americas headquarters, so it can be closer to our global marketing function'.
