Neustar Names New CEO
In the US, consumer data provider Neustar has appointed Charles Gottdiener as President and Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Lisa Hook, who will remain on the Board and work closely with Gottdiener to ensure a seamless handover.
 Neustar uses data science, programmatic ad buying software and proprietary first party data assets to provide cross-platform ad targeting services for clients. The firm has access to more than 20,000 audience profiles, ranging from psychographic and behavioral to attitudes, preferences and buying patterns. By combining customer history data with consumer demographics and behavioral data, it creates audience groups unique to a business, channel and product.
Gottdiener (pictured) joins from Providence Equity Partners, where he most recently served as COO and MD, overseeing portfolio company operations, business development, HR and other administrative functions, while serving as a Board member or interim CEO for several Providence portfolio companies. Earlier, he spent seven years at Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) in multiple leadership roles, including President of the Global Risk, Analytics and Internet Solutions business.
Hook, whom he replaces, has been at Neustar for a decade and earlier held senior positions at Sunrocket, America Online, Brera Capital Partners, Alpine Capital Partners and Time Warner.
