Valassis Receives ' Data Hygiene' Patent
In the US, shopper targeting firm Valassis has been issued a patent for its 'data hygiene process', used for personalization and ad targeting.
Valassis integrates online and off-line data to target clients' most valuable shoppers wherever they 'plan, shop, buy and share'. The newly patented technology connects the firm's database of 169 million US addresses with marketing software, allowing geographic, demographic, behavioral and/or motivational shopping data to be integrated with brand and retailer information.
Greg Green, Chief Data and Analytics Officer of parent company Harland Clarke Holdings, comments: 'Our patented processes, exclusive technology and data science provide precision, relevance and scale to influence more consumers to take action and drive a campaign's performance. We leverage consumer intelligence from the Valassis Consumer Graph, our proprietary technology that collects, analyzes and aggregates data to build highly predictive audiences'.
