Senior Data Science, Cross-Platform Hires for comScore

comScore has hired Ajay Sravanapudi as SVP of Technology Architecture and Engineering; Kumar Rao as Vice President of Analytics; and Sumit Shukla as SVP of Strategic Partnerships, as it looks to accelerate its cross-platform and data science initiatives.

Sravanapudi is the former CTO of online ad targeting specialist Videology, which he joined when the firm acquired his company LucidMedia in 2012. Rao previously served as Chief of Measurement Science at Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC), where he led a team of scientists developing a new TV audience measurement currency for India; before which, he was Executive Director of Measurement Science at Nielsen. Shukla most recently served as VP of Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Development at consumer data provider Neustar, and he was previously the business development, data team lead at Rocket Fuel, having joined the firm after its acquisition of [x+1].

In their new positions, Sravanapudi will help streamline the company's products to enable and accelerate cross-platform measurement; Rao will help lead a team of data scientists to develop new analytical methodologies; and Shukla joins comScore's Strategic Partnerships team to lead its relationships and strategic plans with major digital platforms.

Their appointments follow the news that Sarah Hofstetter, former CEO of Dentsu Aegis-owned digital agency 360i, is to join comScore as President. She will take up the position in early October with an $875k 'sign-on' bonus; an annual base salary of at least $450k; annual incentive awards equal to 75% of her base salary; and participation in a long-term equity incentive program with an annual target opportunity of at least $2m.
