dunnhumby Partners with Retail Scenario Tester VST
In London, shopper data science firm dunnhumby has partnered with retail scenario testing firm Virtual Store Trials (VST), to help clients with areas including shelf layout, signage, pricing and promotions.
VST uses a virtual environment to test retail layouts, replacing the need for traditional in-store trials. Through the partnership, brands and retailers will be able to determine which products should be placed on shelf and which shelf layouts work best for specific categories; as well as the best pricing mix for a brand; the most popular colour for packaging; and the best signage to use.
Jeremy Collins (pictured), Commercial Insight Director at dunnhumby, adds: 'The ease at which thinking can now be tested and benchmarked against other potential ideas is a real game-changer. There are numerous applications within category planning, vision setting, marketing optimisation and innovation, and at every stage, VST provides robust insights to drive decisions while saving time and financial investments'.
