Digitab Team Start New Ops Agency

In London, a new company called D&T Operations Ltd has been launched by four senior staff from Digitab, the tabs and analytics agency shut down by Kantar last month.

Digitab had been part of TNS and then Kantar for some fourteen years before the decision to close it eight weeks ago. At the time Jeremy Fletcher, Kantar's COO for the UK and Ireland, said revenues had been in decline for some years.

Now the division's MD Michael Wright (pictured) has joined with senior staff Ian MacNeil, Mina Lad and Jon Gick to form D&T, which offers expertise in complex tabulations, data know-how and charting automation. Between them the four directors can boast more than 100 years of market research experience - and they had worked together at Digitab for more than twenty.

Wright says the new firm 'embraces the benefits of automation, through automated text and data analysis, reporting/dashboards, data conversion, and more - enabling researchers to do more to exceed client expectations'. He adds: 'It's been an incredibly exciting journey so far. It's great to continue to work with my very experienced and talented colleagues. We are all looking forward to continuing the relationships with our clients'.
