Tobii Speeds Up UX Tests with Pro Sprint Launch
Eye-tracking research business Tobii Pro has launched a qualitative user testing tool called Sprint, to enable user experience (UX) designers and developers to spot and correct usability problems before the launch of a digital product or service.
Tobii Pro, which is part of Swedish eye control and eye tracking product developer Tobii, provides technology and services to help businesses and academic researchers gain insights into human behaviour. Its new tool has been developed to allow UX designers to view and/or record test participants' eye movements while using a digital service or product on a computer equipped with a Tobii eye tracker. Video recordings can be shared with other stakeholders live, or relayed later.
The tool can help pinpoint potential causes or indicators of usability issues when working on software applications and web sites - analysing in what order users visually navigate the digital interface as well as the things they notice or ignore, the places where they get stuck, and those they gravitate to. Tobii Pro President Tom Englund comments: 'Eye tracking takes the guesswork out of UX. With Tobii Pro Sprint we've developed a tool that makes eye tracking more accessible and simpler to apply in the collaborative design process, so teams can obtain findings from user tests quickly and easily'.
