Investor Buys Lion's Share of De Wulf's Firm
Investment firm Mentha Capital has acquired a majority stake in global consumer insight agency InSites Consulting, for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 1997 as a spin-off of Vlerick Business School, InSites Consulting is equally owned by its four partners, CEO Kristof De Wulf, Tim Duhamel, Niels Schillewaert & Joeri Van den Bergh, and now has a team of more than 200 people across seven offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, the US, Germany, Australia and Romania. Through its Global Community Moderator Network, the company services clients in more than 50 countries.
InSites says the partnership with Mentha Capital will help it accelerate non-organic growth through both regional expansion and the addition of strategic capabilities. All current thirteen InSites Consulting managing partners will remain in their current roles, to support a focused buy-and-build strategy. The deal is expected to close by the end of the year.
De Wulf (pictured) comments: 'The timing feels perfect to bring on board a strategic investor to support us in our global growth ambitions. Over the last few years, we have been working hard to develop scalable foundations for growth: our proprietary digital technology platforms, a strong people and consulting practice, our global delivery model and a global brand reputation. We are convinced that, together with Mentha Capital, we can fully leverage on these foundations to become even more relevant for our global clients'.
