Vovici Founder Henning Named MRII Exec Director
In the US, the Board of the Market Research Institute International (MRII) has named Vovici founder Jeffrey Henning as Executive Director. He will take up the post on January 1st 2019, following the retirement of Reg Baker at the end of the year.
Founded in 1995 by a group of industry leaders and affiliated to the University of Georgia's Center for Continuing Education, the MRII provides two online distance-learning courses - the Principles of Marketing Research and the Principles of Pharmaceutical Marketing Research. Henning (pictured) has more than 30 years' industry experience. In 1993, he co-founded Perseus Development Corporation, which introduced the first web-survey software; he founded Vovici in 2006, which pioneered enterprise-feedback management; and six years ago he set up Researchscape International, which provides 'automated survey research with a personal touch'. He is a member of the Insights Association and AAPOR, and has been a member of the MRII Board of Directors since January 2015.
Henning takes over from Baker, who has had a 40-year career in the research industry, and was previously President and COO of Market Strategies International. In his new role, Henning will work with MRII's volunteer board to continue developing courses to address changes in the industry. Jon Last, immediate past President and search-committee Chair, comments: 'Jeffrey Henning brings a broad understanding of current trends in the market research industry and the challenges they present to market research educators. MRII is fortunate to have an industry leader with such a wealth of experience help us with our important mission'.
