ICF Wins Five More Years with $200m USAID Contract
Consulting and digital services provider ICF will continue to provide the Demographic and Health Surveys Program (DHS) for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), after winning a $200m, five-year contract.
ICF employs more than 5,500 specialists, including business analysts and policy specialists, digital strategists, data scientists and creatives; and will celebrate its 50th birthday next year. The new contract, the eighth of its kind, was awarded by the Bureau for Global Health and will involve providing technical assistance to around 90 population-based and facility-based surveys in more than 50 countries, also helping institutions in each country to collect and use data for their own decision-making. The firm will collect, analyze and disseminate data in areas such as fertility, family planning, maternal and child health, gender, HIV/AIDS, malaria and nutrition, and the data will be used by national governments and international organizations for planning, policymaking and program management purposes, as well as researchers worldwide.
SVP Leo Ryan (pictured) comments: 'Long recognized as a gold standard of survey research, the DHS Program provides vital information and builds in-country analytical capacity to help advance global understanding of health and population trends in lower and middle income countries. We are thrilled to continue to support this important data collection, capacity building and data use program whose ultimate goal is to improve the overall health and economic status of populations in developing countries'.
