Senior Hires and Funding for Thunder

Ad serving and measurement firm Thunder Experience Cloud has closed a $6 million funding round; and has expanded its leadership team with the appointments of Marco Matos as Head of Product and Jack Hallahan as VP of Strategic Partnerships.

Marco Matos and Jack HallahanThunder's platform helps advertisers create, personalize and measure cross-channel advertising. The funds, which come from a consortium of open ad tech companies, including the WI Harper Group, will be used to develop technology which attaches an anonymous ID to an individual, allowing advertisers to track ad viewing and improve targeting.

Matos (pictured left), who will oversee Thunder's engineering team and overall product roadmap, has spent more than eleven years in product development, with a particular focus on brand and cross channel measurement, and understanding user consumption. Between 2006 and 2018 he worked at Microsoft, Google and Facebook. Hallahan (pictured right) joins from Celtra, a venture-backed Creative Management Platform where he was VP of Partnerships, and brings expertise in strategy, branding, social, programmatic and rich media. In his new role he is responsible for overseeing partnerships, while heading up revenue responsibilities for the firm's sales and account management teams.

Thunder CEO Victor Wong says of the two new arrivals: 'The expertise of both in their respective fields will be invaluable as we use this latest investment to accelerate delivery of Thunder's Experience Measurement suite to market and execute on our vision to end bad ads'.
