Cuebiq Names Head of TV
Location intelligence and consumer insights company Cuebiq has appointed Chris Falkner as Vice President of its television initiatives.
He joins from NBC Broadcasting where he was SVP of Advanced TV, helping to drive revenue growth in areas such as OTT, interactive television, addressable advertising, VOD and programmatic ad sales, as well as new viewership metrics. He has served on the IAB's Leadership Council, has been Co-Chair of its Advanced TV committee since 2009, and holds three patents in television and computed tomography systems.
In his new role, Falkner (pictured) will play a key role in the launch of Cuebiq's TV attribution solution and develop new and existing partnerships for both advanced and linear TV, including those with OTT clients such as Hulu and Adobe.
Cuebiq founder and CEO Antonio Tomarchio comments: 'Although ad spend in the TV space is on the rise, marketers face difficulties in efficiently navigating this complex environment, whether it be reaching consumers or determining ROI. However, new technologies and strategies, such as location data, can positively impact how marketers target and measure their advertising efforts, so it was a logical next step to expand our cross-channel offerings to this key media channel. With his extensive experience in this field, Chris brings together the best of linear TV and digital video, and we are thrilled to have him provide his unique perspective to lead and grow these new initiatives'.
Cuebiq is headquartered in New York with offices in San Francisco, Chicago, Italy and China, and recently secured $27m in Series B financing. Through its Data for Good initiative the company shares location intelligence with researchers at top universities and nonprofit organizations to drive innovation for good causes.
