Acquisition for US Construction Data Firm Dodge
North American construction industry intelligence firm Dodge Data and Analytics has acquired San Diego-based Integrated Marketing Systems (IMS), which provides information for the architecture and engineering sectors.
Dodge provides analytics and software-based workflow integration solutions for the construction industry, and is headquartered in NYC, with operations in five other US cities plus Vancouver, BC, Canada. IMS was established in 1991 and provides detailed early stage public project information to architects and engineers. As part of Dodge, it will gain access to the parent firm's market and project intelligence and insights, including its Sweets service, billed as the world's largest online building product database with over 100,000 listings.
Dodge CEO Mike Petrullo (pictured) says IMS will help Dodge 'unlock earlier stages of the construction value chain, facilitating a continuum that is of tremendous value to the construction community'. IMS' strengths will also boost the company's recently launched unified market intelligence and collaborative platform Dodge Construction Central.
Nick Benore, General Manager of IMS, says the buy provides a major growth opportunity for both companies, and will help 'enhance the business intelligence and insights that IMS delivers to its customers'.
