Bluecore Buys Betaout Customer Intelligence Platform

US-headquartered retail behaviour and product data specialist Bluecore has acquired Noida, India-based eCommerce customer intelligence and marketing automation platform Betaout for an undisclosed sum.

Fayez MohamoodFounded in 2014, Betaout was developed to enable online retailers to increase conversions and personalize user engagement, using real-time user persona and intent data. Through the tool, users can conduct abandoned cart recovery, browse abandoned communications, and create unified customer profile and advanced segmentation such as customer lifetime value and purchase behavior.

Bluecore says that Betaout's technology will complement its own marketing technology, adding Facebook, onsite, mobile push and SMS as channels for real-time customer engagement and hyper-targeted personalization campaigns. With this acquisition, Bluecore establishes Bluecore India, its new hub for innovation and engineering, following the company's recent expansion into Europe through the opening of an office in London.
