TGI Brings Up The Fifty

Following the recent extension of its agreement with Nielsen Media Research to include Australia and New Zealand, KMR has announced that its TGI Network now covers over 50 countries worldwide, through wholly owned companies and partnerships.

The 51 countries for which TGI data are available span 6 continents. TGI syndicated surveys integrate consumer demographics, product usage and media consumption, providing more than 1,500 clients with internationally comparable data from a global sample of over 650,000 individuals per annum.

In Australia and NZ TGI is represented by Nielsen Media Research's Panorama product - the companies also co-operate in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. Other Asia Pacific studies available through TGI include Japan and China. Elsewhere, recent additions include TGI South Africa, TGI Ukraine and TGI Croatia.

According to Andy Brown, CEO of KMR, after rapid growth in the last 5 years the company can now offer clients 'the most comprehensive single-source data coverage in the world'.

Future plans cover expansion in the Middle East via an extension of the agreement with PARC (Pan Arab Research Company), who have conducted TGI Saudi Arabia since 2002. Coverage will be extended to include Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon and the UAE, to be available both as a stand-alone, national database and as an integrated regional TGI Arabia product. According to TGI International Director Paul Dickinson, 'By extending TGI Arabia into 5 markets we are rising to the fast developing research needs of the region and in PARC we have the perfect partner for this challenge'.

TGI was pioneered in 1969 and developed by BMRB, who operate the service in the UK. KMR is a division of the Millward Brown Group, part of The Kantar Group, the information and consultancy arm of WPP.
