BBC Selects TNS Tool

TNS' advanced television audience research tool - InfoSysTV - has been selected by the BBC to undertake detailed TV audience measurement and analysis across both its terrestrial and satellite channels.

Windows-based InfoSysTV is already used by BskyB, Channel 4, ITV and Channel Five, and was recently selected by Aegis Media ( see www.mrweb.com/drno/news2541.htm ).

According to TNS TV Bureau Commercial Director Nick Burfitt 'Our new agreement with the BBC strengthens the position of InfoSysTV as the leading audience measurement tool on the market. The in-built flexibility of InfoSysTV has enabled us to create a bespoke research tool for the BBC to enhance the effectiveness and speed at which data can be processed'.

Chris Mundy, Controller, Audience & Consumer Research, BBC commented: 'InfoSysTV will streamline our current TV audience data analysis and enable us to dedicate more time to the core task of analysing results so that we can better understand our audiences'.
