New CEO for B2B Data Platform EverString

In the US, B2B data platform EverString has appointed Santosh Sharan as Chief Executive Officer, replacing co-founder J.J. Karwell, who will remain on the company's Board as an Executive Director and a member of the executive team.

EverString uses artificial intelligence and applied data science to help users understand customer intent, recency and engagement. Sharan (pictured) joins from tech industry B2B data and insights provider Aberdeen Group, where he served as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to this, he worked for B2B contact database provider ZoomInfo as VP Product Growth and Strategy, having set up mobile user experience company Keisense, later sold to Nuance Communications.

He replaces Karwell, who has served as the company's CEO since January 2017, having previously been President, with responsibility for the marketing, sales, finance, human resources and operations teams. Commenting on the news, Karwell said: 'I am thrilled to have found such a qualified industry veteran to lead EverString as we continue to scale. After nearly five years leading our day-to-day operations, I have decided to move into a role that allows me to spend more time with my family. I greatly appreciate the support of our investors and team, which has enabled me to make this transition. I will continue to help guide EverString's product strategy and work with our customers and partners, and I look forward to being part of the company's continued growth'.
