Berry Adds Millward Brown Ireland Role
In Dublin, Kantar Millward Brown has appointed David Berry as Managing Director for Ireland, replacing Maureen VanWijk who moves to a new role. Berry adds the new position to his current role as MD for the group's shopper insight arm, Kantar Worldpanel.
Worldpanel operates demographically representative panels which track consumer shopping habits in FMCG, impulse products, fashion, baby, telecoms and entertainment markets, among many others. Berry (pictured) takes on his additional responsibilities with more than eighteen years' experience at Kantar Worldpanel in Ireland. In his expanded role, he will continue to shape the strategic and commercial direction of both Kantar brands; replacing VanWijk, who has held the position for the past five years, and has now moved into a new international leadership role as Client Partner.
Tim Kidd, MD of Kantar Worldpanel Europe and US, says Berry's new role will bring two firms' Irish expertise closer together. Will Galgey, Head of Kantar Insights for UK and Ireland, adds: 'David has proven to be a successful leader at Kantar Worldpanel in Ireland over the past five years and has a very strong reputation in the market. He has also built a skilled and highly engaged team in Dublin and is excited to now have the opportunity to support and develop the Kantar Millward Brown Ireland team'.
