Senior Shuffle for Kantar Australia
Kantar Australia will move Alistair Leathwood, Jonathan Sinton and John Evans into new senior roles in January next year, as Chief Commercial Officer, head of Kantar TNS and Head of Operations respectively.
Kantar's Insights Division in Australia comprises TNS and Millward Brown.
Leathwood (pictured) leaves the role of Executive Director of Kantar TNS Australia for the newly created CCO role, focused on driving growth via development and conversion of new commercial opportunities, partnership and new revenue streams. His experience spans twenty years in the UK, USA and Australia: he worked at UK firms Thomson Publishing and Datamonitor, then served as MD at UK firm FreshMinds Research before moving to Australia and joining Colmar Brunton as Joint MD. He joined TNS Australia in early 2014 as Executive Director in charge of the Sydney team, replacing Sinton.
Sinton now returns from the US to step into Leathwood's shoes at the helm of Kantar TNS, having spent the last five years in New York as Kantar's Global Digital Director. Earlier in his career he worked at Frank N. Magid Associates and then at Research International.
Evans will assume responsibility for all of Kantar Australia as Head of Operations, and brings more than 25 years of experience, the last thirteen of them with Kantar Millward Brown and National Field Services in Australia. He has particular expertise in combining more traditional IT software programming skills with market research software to automate data delivery.
Leathwood remains on the Kantar Australia board and will be joined by both Sinton and Evans. According to Kantar Australia CEO Jon Foged, the appointments 'will positively impact our people, drive the evolution of how we work and strengthen our client development immeasurably'.
