Mopinion Adds 'First of Several' New Features
Rotterdam-based digital feedback analysis specialist Mopinion has enhanced its platform with machine learning-based coding or 'automatic feedback categorisation'.
Mopinion provides Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) to analyse digital channels such as web sites and mobile apps. The new technology takes historical data and sorts it using keywords and combinations, into user-specified categories, augmented by looking at survey precodes and/or the URLs where feedback was collected. Users adjust any incorrect categorisations manually, and the system learns from these for future coding efforts.
The categorisation technology is the first of several new additions planned, tapping advances in AI and machine learning. Mopinion says it will be followed 'later this year' by an 'unsupervised' machine learning technology which 'learns from data that has not yet been labeled or categorised'.
Kees Wolters, co-founder and Managing Partner, comments: 'By applying machine learning techniques, we are essentially removing the burden for users of having to filter through high volumes of feedback and monotonously label individual feedback items. This not only makes the categorisation process effortless, but also reduces workload and increases efficiency'.
