Edge by Ascential Launches Retail Insight Platform
In the US, eCommerce insights and advisory firm Edge by Ascential has launched a Retail Insight Platform, consolidating data, analytics and content from its legacy brands Planet Retail and RNG in a single location.
Edge by Ascential was formed in October when information specialist Ascential merged the services from a number of its existing brands. The new platform is fully searchable and includes four main areas: Data & Insights, Research, News and Events. The Data & Insights section gives Edge Retail Insight customers access to analysis tool Retail Market Monitor, which they can use to identify trends and potential disruptions; track, analyze and benchmark omnichannel and pureplay retailer performance; and compare and size opportunities across markets, product categories and time periods. It also offers visualizations of retailer and market landscapes, from which users can create comparative views of performance data.
