Change of Legal Chief for Nielsen

Nielsen has announced the resignation of its Chief Legal Officer Eric J. Dale, and the appointment of George D. Callard to replace him.

George CallardDale, who has been with the company since 2015, leaves 'to pursue an external opportunity' on February 1st, after helping with the transition. Callard joins on 22nd January.

Callard (pictured) brings 25 years' broad-ranging administrative and legal experience. He joins from The Weather Channel television network, where he was President, and previously worked in legal roles at AT&T Inc, NBCUniversal and Weather Group LLC. At the latter, he was responsible for a broad range of legal and government relations functions from M&A, strategic investments and joint ventures to regulatory and compliance issues, and online privacy. He received his JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and has a master's degree from the University of Cincinnati and a bachelor's degree from Union College.

Recently appointed CEO David Kenny comments: 'George's experience, keen legal mind and thoughtful approach make him a terrific addition to our company at this time'.
